A Global Corporation located in Qatar is seeking the support of a Legal Counsel to join their legal team as lead Commercial Lawyer to report to the General Counsel. Package is TAX FREE, with housing, car, bonus and a very comprehensive health and benefits scheme. Arabic is not essential but advantageous.
The Role
This position offers a fantastic mix of corporate/commercial work where you will draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts, JVs, partnership agreements, security/cleaning/finance contracts drafting and reviewing. As part of your role you will ensure that all business deals are comply with Qatari laws and regulations. You will have the gravitas to work autonomously on numerous commercial contracts of high net value.
Candidate
Must be a UK, US and/or Common law qualified solicitor with a strong academic background from a UK, European or US university. The ideal candidate will have excellent Corporate Commercial experience and be ideally 5-10 years PQE. Arabic is not essential however candidates with legal experience gained from GCC would be highly advantageous. You will be required to work autonomously on numerous commercial agreements and in many case you will be involved in negotiations alongside the General Counsel, whilst managing outside counsel.
