A leading property management group, spanning 200000 homes across 4000 developments in the residential, retirement and luxury markets requires an experienced Property Litigation Lawyer. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years PQE or other suitable prior experience in-house or in private practice dealing principally with litigation/dispute resolution and property related matters.
You will report to the Head of Legal and will work closely to Senior Management on caseload and issues handled. You will act as a permanent key point of contact for the relevant business area and to attend divisional meetings as and when required by the business. It's expected that candidates will be capable of managing his/her own caseload and advisory work without supervision. Part of this role includes, Risk management and reporting on financial exposures arising from disputes
The Candidate
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years PQE (or other suitable prior experience) in-house or private practice where experience in property related litigation/disputes and in particular forfeiture, breach of covenant and residential service charge recovery is highly desirable. Must have recent working knowledge of Landlord & Tenant legislation and regulations affecting service charge required. Candidates with additional experience of drafting and negotiating leases, deeds and other documents would be desirable Depending on the candidate, this 9 month contract could become a permanent role.
