SENIOR COMMERCIAL PROPERTY LAWYER – LEADING IN HOUSE ORGANISATION – SOUTH AFRICA (CT)

Our client is a leading holding company who are seeking a commercial property lawyer to join their office in South Africa. Possessing years of experience in South Africa, the company hold a strong track record in investment schemes, global mutual funds ETC. The South African team currently work with many leading clients in the south African region and have grown tremendously as a result to the commitment to client service and reputation.

The team are seeking a Property Lawyer with at least 8 yrs post articles. You will manage advise management of property legislation changes and the tax implications thereof; liaise with advisors on JSE rules; conduct due diligence; compliance and risk management of property unit trusts ; advise on lease agreements; renewals and drafting of lease agreements; managing tenant arrears and prepare the budgets for the property division.

Candidates will work in the property department of a large law firm or have branched out to a law property  / listed company. Experience in PUT and new listing companies ; drafting & vetting property acquisitions, disposal and lease agreements. Knowledge of local authority and provincial laws.
