In-House Commercial Lawyer

Excellent opportunity for a commercial lawyer with between NQ-3 years PQE to join the in-house legal team of a highly successful retailer.

Our client is one of the most well-known retailers in the UK and has gone from strength to strength in recent years, having seen vast international growth. The business is now enhancing its legal function to help it grow even further.

Working closely with the legal team and alongside a range of business areas including finance, marketing, e-commerce, IT, procurement, logistics, commercial licensing and product distribution, your role will be to ensure that any contractual arrangements entered into accurately reflect the intentions of the business and that all significant risks are managed appropriately.

This is an incredibly varied role that will see you become involved with significant commercial contracts, IT projects, procurement, advertising and IP matters. Specifically, you will be required to:

- Assist the business in understanding and complying with commercial legal agreements and applicable legislation;
- Review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts including supply, purchase, distribution and IT agreements;
- Advise on IP matters including advertising and brand protection;
- Effectively manage the resolution of litigation matters, utilising and managing external advisers where required; and
- Develop and to deliver training on key legal topics.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an NQ-3 year PQE lawyer to undertake a varied and interesting role within a leading business. We are keen to hear from individuals with commercial experience gained either in-house or in private practice. You will have excellent technical ability and equally important, be commercially aware with outstanding inter-personal skills.
