My client's business purpose is to improve lives, communities, and society, through working with private individuals and organisations engaged in the third and public sectors.
Their work in the housing and not for profit sectors impacts all of us, and is also at the heart of the firm. They advise predominantly clients in the housing and not for profit sectors across a broad range of corporate, transactional and governance work.
Specifically, the work entails:
- corporate transactional matters; group structures, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and collaborations
contracts; commercial decisions and assessing risks - constitutional arrangements; advising on directors and trustees duties and responsibilities
funding: institutional and capital markets funding arrangements, development finance and intra-group lending
They are looking for someone with the right level of experience to run small projects, support on larger ones and advise clients on day to day constitutional and governance matters, with light touch supervision. I am looking to find a person who is interested in building a reputation in the housing and not for profit sectors, even if you have more general corporate governance experience.
This position offers excellent career prospects; you should have a healthy ambition to progress your career to utilise your legal and non-legal skills and to contribute to delivering the firm's business purpose
If you would like a confidential discussion about the position, please do not hesitate to contact Paul Shephard at Chadwick Nott.
