THE FIRM
Our client is a very well-regarded law firm, holding accreditation in several legal areas. Fee-earners work within their own distinct areas of law, thus building exceptionally strong relationships with clients, and much of the firm’s work comes from personal recommendation and existing client loyalty. A vacancy has now arisen for an experienced private client/public law lawyer to take on an interesting caseload of Court of Protection work at the Barking office. This is an area of law that the firm is keen to develop, and would be interested in receiving applications from solicitors or legal executives with a relevant background in Court of Protection matters deriving from a public law or private client role. The firm is very committed to providing ongoing training and to developing careers, and offers a substantial package of benefits including interest-free season ticket loans and free conveyancing as well as a bonus scheme and lots more besides.
THE ROLE
The firm is looking for an established lawyer to run – and further develop - a busy caseload of Court of Protection matters and promote this expanding area of practice through active marketing and networking. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your own area of specialism with a view to attaining partnership within a short space of time. You will:
Be a solicitor of at least 6 years’ PQE, or a similarly-experienced legal executive;
Have an excellent academic background and previous experience of working within a Legal 500 (or better) practice;
Demonstrate good networking skills and have a proactive, enthusiastic approach towards business development and marketing;
Have good client care skills with a calm, empathetic approach and the ability to explain complex legal matters in plain, accessible English.
