In House Counsel - Commercial Lawyer, West of London

We have a new opportunity for an In-House Counsel with a leading financial services organisation based in Berkshire.

Our client is looking to speak with mid-level qualified solicitors who have good commercial legal experience from either private practice or an in-house background. They are happy to consider candidates from a financial services background or non-FS background equally, provided you can demonstrate an ability to learn quickly and are confident in front internal stakeholders.

The role has two main functions:-

1. To support European Business Development. The company are expanding their offering in the UK and continental Europe, this role is crucial the growth of the company. They have an exciting growth strategy and this is an opportunity to be part of the expanding team. You will be involved in presentations internally and externally to prospective clients and visit customers to negotiate terms of deals. There is also many opportunities to work on projects related to the acquisition and sale of portfolios.
2. Provide legal support and provide advice to the Company’s commercial trading divisions.

The role will involve some European travel, but is based in the UK, the frequency on travel is low to moderate.
