NQ Solicitor Litigated Civil Litigation / Mortgage Repossession
Acting on behalf of high street banks, mortgage lenders, building societies and friendly societies, advising them on rights and obligations when borrowers default on their mortgages and then taking action to protect their security, including possession proceedings. You will need to be a civil / commercial litigation specialist and prior knowledge or experience within enforcing rights for financial services clients would be an advantage. You should have excellent knowledge of the CPR rules and protocols and be able to dispense commercial advice to lenders when considering their options in the event of a default. Experience of running defended litigation cases through to trial is necessary.
The work can sometimes mean you working under pressure to tight deadlines at short notice - for example if the other side apply for injunctive relief, to set aside or stay proceedings or suspend warrants. This is a very client service driven role providing excellent customer service to major household names clients.
