Our client, a prestigious international law firm, are recruiting a Recruitment Administrator to work with their Lateral Hire and Trainee Recruitment Teams in the Human Resources department, forming part of the wider Business Services function and based at the firm’s Head Office in London, on a 5-month FTC.
The Lateral Hire Recruitment Team supports the pool of recruitment partners and hiring managers in attracting
and recruiting joiners who will ensure the continuing success of the firm. The team is responsible for recruiting associates, professional support lawyers, contract lawyers, paralegals and Business Services staff (both permanent and temp) into the firm.
The Trainee Recruitment Team covers candidate attraction and recruitment for all our Trainee Solicitors (80 a year). This includes the application review, interview and offer processes, as well as university events and advertising, work experience schemes and other events and activities for potential candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
The role is responsible for assisting in maintaining an organised and well-ordered administrative function for the
Lateral Hire and Trainee Recruitment Teams and providing an exceptionally high standard of service.
Lateral Recruitment Process:
- Logging CVs, checking for duplicate submissions and flagging discrepancies when necessary.
- Assisting with pre-employment administration including taking copies of passport etc.
- Organising meetings and managing diaries for all members of the Lateral Hire Recruitment Team.
- Assisting with the compiling of induction packs and new joiner folders.
Trainee Recruitment Process:
- Photocopying CVs for work experience scheme students.
- Scanning of interview papers and written exercises for the weekly Partner Review Meeting.
- Collating relevant certificates, passports and recruitment documentation to make up individual HR files.
- Assisting with the copying and checking of academic certificates.
Interview Preparation:
- Setting up daily written exercises for Trainee Solicitor interviews.
- Booking meeting rooms with appropriate equipment.
- Setting up and administering recruitment tests where required.
Miscellaneous:
- Reviewing incoming emails to the Recruitment Inboxes and following up as required.
- General filing, photocopying, scanning and shredding as required.
- Assisting with the administration for any ad hoc projects.
Candidate Requirements:
- Candidates for this position will be expected to have worked, or be working, within a professional services environment.
- Excellent proven organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, multi-task and keep calm under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written, spoken and presentational.
- Comfortable accepting instructions and guidance from different angles.
- Excellent attention to detail and good use of grammar.
