Our Client is looking for a junior to mid-level construction lawyer to join their team based in Central London.

Description

The responsibilities with this role will include:

  • Drafting and negotiating building contracts, consultant appointments, warranties/third party rights, trade contracts and other construction documentation
  • Advising on the construction aspects of development and finance agreements, including security documentation, such as bonds and guarantees.
  • Advising on engineering contracts, construction procurement, including Two Stage JCT Design & Build and Construction Management.
  • Supporting the project management team on the wide variety of construction-related issues and documents arising as part of real estate development including dealing with ad-hoc construction-related legal queries and acting as primary interface between external lawyers and internal project managers

Profile

The successful candidate is likely to be a UK qualified lawyer with between 3 and six years of post qualification experience in construction and projects experience. They will have a strong track record of advising on construction contracts, as well as expertise and experience in all types of construction procurement, including Two Stage JCT Design & Build and Construction Management. Experience in mixed-use real estate development work would be preferable, as would previous experience working in house, although private practice construction specialist should not be discouraged from making an application.
