We are recruiting an In-house Lawyer for a permanent opportunity with a market leading Property Management company based in Worcester.
The successful individual will have a background in property law as you will be responsible for overseeing the process of purchasing ground rents (freeholds and long leaseholds) on behalf of their investor clients. You will co-ordinate the third-party advisers appointed for the transactions (typically, solicitors, valuers, and other expert advisers) to ensure efficient and timely transactions.
Additionally, you will support the Director in all other duties associated with the identification of and bidding on ground rent purchase opportunities, including lead generation, marketing of the client as a purchaser and any other tasks associated with the Acquisitions team.
Strong project management skills will be required to ensure that all key tasks leading to a transaction are progressed efficiently leading to an early exchange and completion of the contract. Also, ensuring that any commercial or technical risks associated with a transaction and highlighted by the third-party advisors are evaluated, reviewed by the client and appropriate action taken to mitigate these.
Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be expected to maintain a positive and business-like relationship with a number of colleagues internally and clients externally. You must be tenacious and persuasive problem solver who is able to get to the bottom of complex issues with-in tight timescales.
