Legal Director - International Role - Blue Chip Organisation

Our client is a blue chip business. The are respected as an industry leader offering excellent quality of work and progression prospects. 

There now exists an exciting and highly rewarding opportunity for a senior legal manager to head a legal team with an international remit. The position is based in eastern Germany. 

The role demands you take a hands-on approach to leading and developing the team, provide legal support to the business across the region and mitigate risk whilst maximising commercial impact. As a member of the senior management team you will be involved in both strategic decision making and day to day operational affairs.

You must be an astute, commercially focused lawyer with extensive legal, projects and risk management experience.

For consideration you must have experience in one of the following industries:

• Heavy Industrial
• Technology
• Energy
• Construction
• Engineering

...and it is essential you have experience of managing an in-house legal team. You will also be responsible for handling disputes, managing external counsel plus competition, corporate affairs and many other matters. 

You must possess the skills and experience highlighted above, be a German qualified lawyer and possess a minimum of 8 PQE*. Business fluent German and English are a prerequisite.
