My client is a specialist permanent and contract staffing business currently comprised of 10 operating brands. At present they have 39 offices in 15 countries, circa 2,600 staff and a diverse client base of circa 9,000 clients.

They are seeking a Junior Legal Advisor working under the supervision of a Solicitor in the team and will be primarily the lead for UK & Ireland commercial contracts, compliance and regulatory advice, within a team responsible for delivering legal services to the organisation's operations in the UK & Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that client and contractor terms, supplier terms and other ad-hoc legal documentation are reviewed, advised upon and negotiated accurately and promptly in accordance with the organisation's risk framework and KPIs
  • Review, advise upon and negotiate changes to the business's standard terms
  • Liaise with the business in respect of contract reviews
  • Provide an advisory service to the business in respect of compliance and regulatory queries
  • Assist Solicitors in the team with the conduct of disputes within the UK & Ireland region
  • Involvement in departmental projects and reporting
  • Prepare and deliver training to the business
  • Ensure legal knowledge is up-to-date and assist with providing legal updates to the business
  • Support and assist members of the team with other legal issues including employment, IP, data protection and property

Skills:

  • In house experience of commercial contracts preferred
  • Experience of the recruitment industry or a sales environment beneficial
  • IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office

Qualifications

  • Law degree or equivalent qualification
