Due to retirement, a vacancy has now arisen within the employment team for a senior associate to support the Head of Department. The firm is committed to expanding the already-successful employment team which has a strong client base of corporate clients and forms part of the wider dispute-resolution department. THE ROLE
You will be a senior employment solicitor with a very solid background in a full range of employment matters, including an in-depth knowledge of TUPE, restrictive covenants, ‘whistleblowing’ and all types of discrimination. Additional experience with matters relating to data protection would be very useful. Robust litigation skills and extensive knowledge of Employment Tribunal proceedings is essential. This role would suit a creative problem-solver with a ‘can-do’ attitude and a positive approach to business development, networking and marketing. THE CANDIDATE
You will:-
Be a solicitor of about 7 years’ PQE;
Possess excellent client-care skills;
Have a very strong academic background, with a solid career gained within a Legal 500 firm;
Preferably, bring a following of clients with you;
Be a real team player, flexible, good-humoured and approachable;
Be ambitious – for yourself and the firm.
