Crime Duty Solicitor required by a well-regarded firm in Shropshire.

The Role
We are now seeking a talented and driven Crime Duty Solicitor to join our clients’ well-regarded team in the Telford area. Commencing by 1st July, the successful Duty Solicitor will attend and advise clients detained at police stations throughout the area and provide representation in local Magistrates Courts. In addition, the ideal Solicitor will manage a full and varied caseload up to and including trials, where appropriate, undertaking advocacy at preliminary hearings and liaising with external professionals.
This position is available for the next rotas on a permanent basis, offering exposure to a diverse caseload and excellent remuneration for the right Duty Solicitor. Please contact Chris for further information quoting reference CE25299.
The Candidate
You must be a qualified Solicitor with at least 2 years’ PQE gained within a reputable Criminal team.
You must possess Duty accreditation and be eligible to sign the CRM12 forms by the 7th April deadline.
You will have excellent technical and organisational skills.
You will be able to manage a full caseload with minimal supervision and attend clients on a rota basis, including out of hours.
You will have excellent client care and communication skills across all levels.
You will be a confident advocate.
