Head of Legal - Part time

My client is one of the fastest growing companies in its industry and will double in size in the next few years. They are keen to recruit a Sole Legal Counsel to predominantly deal with a range of commercial contracts but the role will also include involvement in other legal matters.

This is a part time role and the company are willing to be extremely flexible and can fit the role around the individual. They will consider 3-4 days per week or to work the role around school drop off and pick up times they will also consider being part based from home.

The role requires a commercially minded generalist with a pragmatic approach and the ability to bring the majority of legal work in-house, although you will still be supported by external law firms. As a dynamic and growing company, they are seeking an individual with innovation, energy and vision to support the Company's continued growth.

The successful applicant will be a solicitor and we are open minded on PQE. Applicants must have experience with commercial contracts gained within an in-house or private practice setting. This will be an autonomous position and candidates will be expected to administer and take ownership of a broad range of commercial legal matters in the UK and internationally.

Main duties will include:

• Creating and managing Supply Agreements
• Creating and managing Distribution Agreements
• Managing and registering trademarks and IP
• Reviewing and updating contract documentation to ensure compatibility with company aims
• Reviewing documentation provided by customers and suppliers for conformity and assessing risk
• Updating the Board of Directors on relevant legal changes and advising on corporate legal matters
• Assisting with Company Secretarial duties
• Undertaking any other relevant duties as required by the Company
