An award winning Global Law Firm is looking to recruit a new Business Services HR Assistant Manager to provide HR generalist support across the function in addition to assisting with specific HR projects and process improvements. You will report directly to the departmental Senior Manager with Advisers/Assistants/Administrators reporting to you.  Responsibilities will include developing a full understanding of the firm’s policies and processes and work with the Business Services functions to implement these effectively.  Ideally someone who has had approximately 2 years at the Administrative level (or other Admin role) and 2 possibly 3 years in a full Adviser role.  Applicants need to be confident in managing disciplinary, grievance and sickness absence cases and have had exposure to or strong understanding of restructures/redundancies.  We are needing someone who is happy covering the full range of generalist responsibilities as they will still need to work on all of the day to day work as well as any ER cases.  You will be both leading HR matters in addition to providing advice and support to managers and employees on a range of HR issues, advising managers on employee relations issues, assisting with resource planning, conducting interviews for internal and external candidates and providing advice and guidance to line managers to ensure that professional recruitment policies and practices are used effectively. Candidates must be degree educated and have previous HR Adviser experience, preferably within a Law Firm. Candidates should also have excellent communication skills, be a real team player and have a professional approach to work.  Standard working hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm, however a flexible attitude is required as there may often be the possibility of overtime.
