Solicitor- Grade B- PI

The Opportunity;
We are currently recruiting a talented Solicitor with experience of representing Claimants in the Personal injury field who will specialise in EL work so from accidents in the workplace to occupational illness. There could be some exposure to RTA, OL/PL and other PI cases. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of UK's largest Serious and Specialist injury law firms and represent the trade union members with whom we work.

Responsibilities to include;

* Ensure efficient file management including adherence to timescales; compliance with precedents, letters or documents on the case management system; and effective support, guidance and delegation to colleagues
* Pro-actively participate, and support others, in marketing opportunities including networking and contribution to blogs, media commentary etc, within Slater and Gordon guidelines
* Ensure financial aspects of matters including time recording, billing and debtor management are managed to enable achievement of personal fee budget (and team if appropriate)
* Provide mentoring and supervision to team including coaching, training, development and completion of PDRs and file reviews within agreed timescales ensuring both positive and development feedback is provided
* Participation in formal and informal learning activities to share knowledge and expertise more broadly within the practice group
* Participate in internal workflow and planning forums to develop the Practice Group's processes

Knowledge and Skills;

* LPC qualified (Solicitor)
* Relevant work experience
* The role requires knowledge and experience in handling all forms of Multi track EL cases
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and relevant practice and business IT systems
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work from various stakeholders
* Proactive
* Attention to detail
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Outstanding communication skills
