Commercial counsel 12 Month FTC

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and experienced individual to join a leading global fashion retailer as an in house Commercial lawyer for a fixed term of 12 months.

The successful candidate will assist with a commercial contracts update project, including the review and update of the business' standard commercial contracts.

Reporting in to the group Company Secretary & General Counsel as part of the legal team, working closely with the Procurement and Product/Quality and the International teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal support as part of a commercial contracts update project. Responsibilities will including the following:

*Reviewing, updating, drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts
*Assisting with review of supply chain contracts process.
*Obtaining overseas legal advice and co-ordinating advisers.
*Advising on terminations/renewals of commercial agreements.
*Cultivating and maintaining a relationship with internal stakeholders and external counsel.

Requirements:
*Degree level education or equivalent.
*5-8 year PQE (level of PQE suggested, but we will consider applications from candidates with suitable experience with other levels of PQE)
*In-house experience (particularly in a retail environment) with familiarity of supply chain issues.
*Excellent IT skills.
