Purpose of the role is to support the expanding business in developing its brand globally and growing through a series of commercial engagements; To support the business on a number of legal matters; Provide strong expert advice internally and liaise efficiently and effectively with partner external law firms.

Description

  • Supporting the business with company secretarial matters and associated filings of documentation. Including drafting adhoc documents, carryout out adhoc legal research etc.
  • Supporting the business to look after its IP related interests, such as trademark registrations and use of the company's logos and marks by the business, its suppliers and other associated third parties
  • Supporting the business to put in place a number of concession, consignment and marketing related commercial arrangements
  • Undertaking commercial contract reviews and various general commercial law matters and highlighting the key legal risks to the business
  • Supporting the business to put in place leases, heads of terms, and licence arrangements in respect of its commercial property arrangements
  • Keeping up to date with legal updates and legislation changes and updating the team accordingly
  • Communicating effectively and confidently with key stakeholders and external solicitors both in writing and by telephone to provide advice and deal with initial queries
  • Maintaining the legal hard drive
  • Filing and administrative duties
  • Assisting with various other tasks as required

Profile

  • Commercial knowledge gained in house or in private practice
  • Excellent client care skills
  • Capable of multi-tasking and working pro-actively with the commercial teams in a busy, yet friendly office environment
  • Good organisational & prioritisation skills
  • Confident in dealing with people on telephone and in person and ability to demonstrate initiative
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Ability to grasp things quickly and easily
  • Taking care and attention into all correspondence and documentation
