Legal Counsel

An international investment management company based in London is seeking a Legal Counsel to support the Global Collateral Services Division for 6 months with potential to extend.

The role will be reporting directly into the Managing Counsel and will be responsible for providing legal advice and support primarily to the GCS business in EMEA at all levels.

My client is looking for a great communicator who has the ability to work in a fast paced environment and will have experience working in the custody, banking or financial services sector.

Responsibilities include
*Providing general legal support as assistance in relation to collateral management and custody/liquidity products
*Drafting and negotiating transactional and other agreement
*Advising business managers, relationship managers and commercial teams on legal and regulatory issues
*Providing legal advice and assistance on new products and product development
*Manage outside counsel

The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE* and will have experience in transactions involving securities finance, lending, derivatives, collateral services, global custody and prime brokerage services.

It isn't anticipated that you will have experience in all of the above areas and this role will present an opportunity to gain experience of those areas.
