About the Legal Counsel - Property role:

Our client is looking to recruit a Legal Counsel - Property to oversee in house legal teams responsible for the Group's legal work, ensuring that deadlines and targets are met. You will lead on the delivery, co-ordination, maintenance and monitoring of an effective legal administration service.

Your responsibilities will include:

You will Manage the Group's external legal providers including legal spend and invoice analysis as well as Managing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the delivery of a quality service that represents value for money.

You will ensure that legal services are delivered in a cost effective way that limit risk to the Group, setting and oversee financial and performance targets.

The position requires someone with proven experience of managing projects as well as experience of managing staff.

You will be a UK qualified solicitor from a City or large regional practice (or overseas equivalent) and may have a minimum of 5 years PQE within English property law in either private practice or in house but this does not preclude someone with more qualified experience from applying for the role. Experience of undertaking a similar position as well as strong project management skills is crucial to in this role. The position requires someone with proven experience of managing projects.
