Commercial Solicitor

We have recently been instructed by our client, a leading firm in the East Midlands, who are looking to hire a Commercial Solicitor to join their Commerce and Technology team in Nottingham. Working alongside a Partner who is a market leader in this field, the role offers excellent exposure to complex and challenging work and a real opportunity to progress.

About the role

This highly regarded Commercial team which is comprised of a Partner, Associate, Solicitor, Trainee and Paralegal are looking for a mid level Solicitor who can add value to their existing structure. Daily work in the role will include drafting and negotiating contracts on a broad range of matters including product development, franchising, outsourcing, IT projects and patent and know-how licencing.

In addition to a broad range of commercial matters, this team posses an extremely high quality client base and continue to consolidate and develop ties with clients across the East Midlands.

About the person

The Commercial Solicitor will be a UK qualified solicitor with ideally between two and five years Commercial experience gained at a reputable law firm. Experience of drafting agency agreements, optional/distribution agreements and shareholder agreements would be preferable.

Awareness of and a demonstrable passion for commercial law are essential, along with excellent interpersonal and self-management skills and the ability to quickly build strong relationships with both colleagues and clients.
