Probate Manager

Are you a STEP Qualified Fee Earner or Chartered Legal Executive, fully confident running your own caseload of Private Client work? Are you looking to take the next exciting step in your career? If so, this is the role for you. A Probate Manager is required to join an internationally renowned full service firm in their Leeds office.

This is a dynamic role that will really allow you to establish yourself in this practice area. You will run your own files covering a broad spectrum of Private Client work and supervise the work of more junior fee earners. There will also be the opportunity to take on some Business Development. With so much to get stuck into, this could be the career defining move for you.

The Role:

• Working largely unsupervised, you must be able to hit the ground running with your own caseload of Private Client work.
• Joining the firms private capital group, you will liaise with clients on both a national and international basis. This will include entrepreneurs, business owners and landowners.
• Taking on your own caseload, you will cover probate, powers of attorney, wills and trusts. Some of your files will be extremely high value.
• You will also take part in developing the department through networking and marketing.

The Candidate:

• For this role, it is essential that you have a minimum of five years' experience in a similar role, plus a genuine interest in Private Client work.
• The ideal candidate for this role would have a commercial mind-set plus strong technical skills.
• You must have excellent academics with a minimum of a 2:1 at degree level. You must also have the STEP qualification or be working towards this.
• Excellent communication skills are a necessity for this role.
