Legal Counsel - Global Projects Services Business - Dubai

Our client is a world leader in their industry, operating from over 300 offices across more than 100 countries. They provide project services for the maritime, renewable energy and oil & gas industries amongst others.

An exciting new position now exists for a talented commercial lawyer to join the team in Dubai. Reporting to the regional GC you will manage a varied remit on an international scale. Key to your success will be your ability to lead negotiations, draft commercial agreements and manage complex international projects across the GCC, Middle East and Asia. 

Typical tasks in this role will include:

• Negotiation of long term commercial legal arrangements for provision of services 
• Provide legal counsel to the board and key internal / external customers on project matters worth £100'smil
• Drafting and negotiation of agreements for EPC projects 
• Advising business stakeholders on the European Union, United Nations and United States sanctions matters
• Manage legal arrangements with multinational oil and gas companies, upstream operators, and oilfield services providers 

For consideration you must be:

• A lawyer qualified in a commonwealth jurisdiction
• Around 4-6 PQE - this is a mid level role (no management responsibility at this time)
• Experience gained within the Oil & Gas, maritime, shipping or energy industries 
• Recognised law firm background
• Business fluent English with excellent client relationship and negotiation skills
