Employment Solicitor (NQ-2PQE)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a junior Employment Solicitor to join a highly regarded East Midlands firm in either their Nottingham or Derby office. This role is rewarded with a competitive salary and benefits and genuine career progression.

About the role

The Employment team carry out a good mix of contentious and non-contentious employment and education matters for respondent clients. Daily work of the Employment Solicitor will involve advising on a range of issues including employment tribunal and litigation proceedings, mediation, discrimination, whistleblowing, TUPE and the drafting of various employment documentation.

An active involvement in business development and marketing are essential in order to maintain and develop a strong network for the department and firm.

About the person

The Employment Solicitor must be a UK qualified solicitor ideally with a minimum of six months experience in an employment seat during their training contract. More qualified junior candidates will also be strongly considered.

Desired attributes of the Employment Solicitor include excellent interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving and negotiation skills and commercial acumen. This firm are looking for an independent thinker with an enthusiastic attitude and a strong ambition for career development.
