Contracts Lawyer

Contracts Lawyer required to join a University based in the West Midlands for an initial 3 month period, with the opportunity of a permanent position.

This role is to join a well-respected and supportive team, to handle a caseload of mixed commercial matters on behalf of the university. You will be adapt at working without supervision and able to be proactive and provide coherent advice to those without a legal background. This is ideally a full time position however there is the option of flexible working hours or working remotely each week if desired.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience gained within academia and be used to handling the following:

• Collaboration agreement
• MTAs
• KTPs
• Research and sponsorship agreements
• Licence agreements, confidentiality agreements
• Copyright and Intellectual property matters

Whilst previous university experience is ideal it is by no means essential, and this role would be perfect for an in-house contract Lawyer looking to progress their careers and further develop their existing skill set.
