Our client is an international business process outsourcing and professional services company headquartered in London. The client is recruiting a junior Commercial solicitor to join their legal team in Leeds.
Description
Review, draft and negotiate the Customer Management client and supplier contracts and contractual changes. Proactive participation in resolution of disputes. Responsible for recommendations to Senior Legal Counsel and/or Legal Director regarding proposed relationships outside of standard terms and/or jurisdictions.
Principal Responsibilities
- To have a sound working knowledge of the legal and commercial frameworks in England and Wales.
- Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel and/or Legal Director on contractual relationships of concern, progress and resolution of differences with clients and suppliers relating to financial viability, profitability, nature and scope of product and service delivery contracts.
- Liaison with the Customer Management business to provide proactive legal and commercial support to help them achieve their business plans for new business and organic growth, together with effective operational delivery of existing contracts.
- Close working relationship with the Customer Management Commercial team.
- To review and recommend to Senior Legal Counsel and/or Legal Director approval of new business and changes to existing business proposals to ensure they comply with the Division's chosen market sector requirements for profit margin, risk appetite and contingency provisions.
- Any other duties and responsibilities reasonably required that are commensurate with the role.
Profile
Knowledge and Experience
- Post qualification experience leading legal and commercial negotiations with clients, suppliers and professional intermediaries
- Articulate and numerate drafting, presentation, persuasion and coaching skills in negotiations and sales opportunities
- Change management of large client and supplier relationships.
