Media Solicitor

Established for over 150 years, this firm has an exciting and interesting heritage. They were originally based in Canary Wharf and were one of the first Solicitors ever to service two of the country's most well-known Banks. They have deep rooted connections to the financial sector, and it is this foundation that the firm was built on.

This business has experienced natural growth in recent years, with the opening of two new offices. They are about to open a new flagship office based in the heart of Soho, in the West End. They are a creative, entrepreneurial, ambitious, and forward thinking practice with an electric feel throughout the firm. The opening of the new Soho office is to appeal to a Media client base, a specialist area of some Partners. They are a well-established company who have an impressive client base; the firm has an ethos of exclusively dealing with quality work and charging well for it.

The firm is seeking to hire a Senior Media Lawyer to join their new Soho, West End office.

The firm has a young and dynamic feel with most of the firm's Partners being under 40. They think outside of the box and have a genuinely refreshing approach to marketing and have recently opened a coffee shop within the firm's office specifically for internal and client meetings.

This role will focus on building a Media Law department for the firm. One key Partner has an extensive network, and you will work with the management to build this department, this has been a well-planned strategic department launch, hence their new office location. Due to the nature of this role, it comes with good prospects for Partnership and potentially even equity shortly.

You will have the autonomy to shape your caseload, a key focus for the firm is to build a caseload of Media, Libel, Privacy, and defamation matters. The firm has the marketing budget and expertise of building several new departments, plus an extensive network to leverage from.

• You will be a Media Solicitor with at least five years PQE (there is no upper limit on the amount of PQE)
• You should be an ambitious candidate who wants to be at the forefront of an exciting venture
• It is essential that you have had good exposure to business development and have the confidence to go out and develop new business
• This role would suit a candidate looking for a springboard to Partnership, who is perhaps working in a top-heavy team
• This role comes with one of the most lucrative bonus structure which allows you to earn 20% of your billings
• Salary is very negotiable depending on your level of PQE
