Broad Commercial legal role - Global Banking Organisation

Provide strategic and day to day legal advice to the Group Chief Operations Office in particular the operations and technology functions and an advisory and execution capability across the Group where general commercial legal expertise is required.

Description

• Support of global and multi-jurisdiction commercial legal matters across the bank

• advisory and transactional support for procurement of technology, professional services, corporate services (such as marketing, propositions) and licensed-in market data or index licences;

• advisory support for GCOO in relation to outsourcing, off-shoring/ right-shoring, corporate restructuring and structural reform matters, as well as corporate secretarial support to the service companies within GCOO;

• advisory and transactional support for O&T in relation to its strategic direction and change agenda and for the Bank's digital, design and technology functions;

• managing legal agreements and disputes relating to the acquisition, management and disposal of the Group's corporate property;

• advisory and transactional support for the banks electronic trading and index products businesses; and

• advising on commercial sponsorships and community investment sponsorships or donations.

Profile

• Excellent technical knowledge of contract law and comprehensive experience of advising on commercial, technology and outsourcing issues.
