Description

The Group Contracts and Legal Advisor role supports the Contracts team in managing the Group Global Contracts process, in order to ensure the compliance with all contract management and processes throughout the Group, as well as providing legal and contractual support as and when required.

The scope of the work will cover the super-hub region of UK, Europe and Africa.

Role Requirements

  • Reviewing the terms and conditions of client contracts in UK, Europe and Africa ensuring material commercial and legal liability clauses are redlined in line with company procedure and best practices.
  • Identifying any material risks outside of standard process as they arise and escalating to the Group Legal Counsel as soon as identified.
  • Continuing contract management - receiving contract amendments and contract renewals and reviewing in line with the global contracts process.
  • As required, drafting of standard agreements for the region including services agreements, MOU's, subcontracts and employment contracts.
  • Drafting and reviewing other ad-hoc agreements as needed, i.e. confidentiality agreements, supplier agreements, etc.
  • Ensuring execution of the Group Global Contracts Process from start through to conclusion and to roll out any changes to the relevant departments.
  • Revision and updating of clauses and policies within the existing candidate contracts.
  • Responsible for maintaining all contracts documentation and any administrative duties related to contracts for the UK, Europe and Africa region.
  • Responsible for monitoring contract expiry dates in the company database (Bullhorn) and ensuring all the correct documentation is uploaded and added to the system
  • Liaising with relevant departments and insurance brokers globally to obtain information/approvals for insurance and contract reviews.
  • Additional research and development of policies in line with local legislation and ensure that any changes are then reflected and communicated as appropriate.
  • To continually contribute and share best practices/knowledge/resources and ideas with the larger Contracts Team.
  • Advising, where appropriate on internal legal issues consistent with local employment laws.
  • As required, providing support with internal projects in relation to the Contracts group processes.
  • The ideal candidate will have an excellent working contractual knowledge and experience of working in a similar fast paced environment. This role would suit a newly qualified solicitor, legal graduate or other who possess equivalent experience/qualification.

  • Flexibility in working hours (i.e. the role requires non-core hours communication from time to time, e.g. early morning conference calls with other regions).
  • Infrequent travel may be required to the other super-hubs (Manchester, Houston) for training.
