Commercial Manager – Technology/Financial Services
Our client is a global PLC operating in 37 countries worldwide and has an enviable reputation as an employer.
A Commercial Manager is sought to work as part of a new team providing commercial and contractual support to the sales functions within the UK and Ireland business.
The role is responsible for ensuring risks, liabilities and commitments of contractual agreements by the business are identified and mitigated and that contracts balance risk with appropriate profitability. You will work with the groups’ various business unit teams in Sales, Account Management and Strategic Pricing to ensure cohesive commercial strategies. The role will review and structure deals in a way that is commercially sound and will support or lead customer negotiations as appropriate. You will also assist in implementing commercial strategic vision across the business playing a key part in developing and implementing appropriate business and commercial solutions to match the fast pace and dynamic nature of the business. Compliance monitoring and establishing procedures will also form an important part of the role.
The ideal candidate for this position will have undertaken a similar role ideally within a technology or financial services business but other sectors will be considered. You will have a solid understanding of key contractual issues; possess strong negotiation and influencing skills; legal knowhow, finance/P&L knowledge; be analytical, commercially minded and possess the ability to work in a complex global business.
