Construction Solicitor (2 years PQE)

Our client, a well regarded East Midlands firm, is seeking to hire a Construction Solicitor to join their Infrastructure and Construction team based in Derby. This role is rewarded with a competitive salary together with excellent benefits and progression opportunities.

About the role

The Infrastructure and Construction team sit within the firm's tier 1 Real Estate team and boast an impressive portfolio of private and public sector clients including contractors, developers and high net worth individuals on a range of projects including waste, energy, public sector procurement and joint ventures.

Workflows will include acting on matters from cradle to grave including:

• Advising developers, employers, subcontractors, housing associations and consultants on contract formation, construction and procurement strategies and development
• Drafting and negotiating JCT/NEC3 contracts;
• Providing procurement advice;
• Advising on asset management and maintenance contracts; and
• Providing corporate support to other teams including Real Estate, Corporate and Banking and acquisitions and disposals.

This small team have an excellent reputation in the market and would provide the successful candidate with a springboard to boost their career.

About the person

The Construction Solicitor will be a 2 year qualified Solicitor or equivalent in the case of a qualified Legal Executive with a strong background in Construction and Infrastructure matters. The Construction Solicitor's desired skills include:
