Your new company

One of Ireland's major retail banks offers the full spectrum of banking products and services to Personal, Business and Corporate customers are seeking to recruit a property and banking solicitor to join their team in Cork City on a 12 month contract .

The Securities Remediation & Perfection Project ("SRPP") is a cross functional team, led by Retail Legal. It comprises of a team of 3 solicitors, 4 Securities Officials and a Relationship Manager. SRPP is dedicated to working with customers and external third parties on the resolution of conveyancing and security issues, dealing with ceased to practice solicitor issues and the resolution of unperfected undertakings.

Your new role

You will be experienced in conveyancing and resolving all forms of title issues, interested in expanding your conveyancing knowledge and developing banking law skills, must be able to influence and communicate effectively, work off your own initiate, formulate business focused solutions and participate effectively as part of a team.

The key accountabilities/responsibilities are as follows:

1. Ensure the provision of accurate and timely legal advice
2. Use initiative to develop practical solutions to complex problems
3. Influence and communicate effectively with a variety of key stakeholders
4. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines
5. Ensure that the Manager of SRPP is kept regularly informed of issues and that reports are provided as and when required

What you'll need to succeed

As part of the selection process, you will be expected to demonstrate the business behaviours and ability in the professional and technical competencies reflected below:

Technical Competency:

1) Strategic Legal Advice: Must have conveyancing experience and be able to deliver commercially focused legal advice

2) Must be a qualified Solicitor/Barrister in Ireland or England and Wales

3) At least 2 years experience in the conveyancing area
