RTA SOLICITOR / ASSOCIATE MULTI TRACK - MANCHESTER

Personal injury solicitor / Associate RTA Manchester – A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the defendant RTA team of this top tier defendant insurance firm for an Associate solicitor to help support the lead Partner by developing their own caseload of high value multi track RTA cases. The team handles a range of complex catastrophic injury matters including brain damage and spinal injury cases and they are looking for a qualified solicitor with defendant experience to help strengthen the department.

KEY FACTS

  • Job Title: Associate Solicitor
  • Location: Manchester
  • Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
  • Reports to: Partner - HoD
  • Expertise: Ideally, the team is looking for a personal injury solicitor with 1-5 PQE. They should be able to demonstrate proven defendant insurance experience of catastrophic work and be confident handling multi track matters. Legal executives will also be experienced.

CATASTROPHIC / SERIOUS INJURY RTA TEAM

The serious injury team of this leading defendant firm has developed a reputation for handling highly complex brain and spinal injury cases. In particular, the Manchester office is recognised specialises in both UK and cross-jurisdiction matters which adds an extra dimension to the work involved.

The team is relatively small and quite ‘collegiate’ enabling lawyers to experience a real breadth and depth of work. The client base is equally varied, ranging from insurance companies to large self-insured businesses, meaning that some of the claims have the potential to be very high profile.

The Head of Department is looking to hire an Associate solicitor who will assist on highly technical, high value matters, as well as developing their own caseload of catastrophic injury work. Ideally, prior experience of work at this level is required. However, the team is willing to consider those with lower value multi-track experience who are looking to make a step up.

CAREER PROGRESSION IN A GROWING DEPARTMENT

The Manchester office has seen real growth in recent times and the catastrophic team is certainly asserting itself in the North West and wider national market. However, there is still work to be done.

This role is particularly designed to attract solicitors who may be looking for a new challenge and tangible career progression in a growing team with access to quality work with a real focus on delivering a high degree of service to the client.
