Our client, a Top 50 law firm with an excellent reputation is seeking a banking solicitor with some real estate finance experience on an initial 6 month fixed term contract basis. The firm is willing to consider individuals seeking a full-time or part-time (4 days a week) opportunity.
The Banking & Real Estate Finance team advises financial institutions (including clearing banks, second tier banks and private banks) private equity funds, hedge funds, institutional funds, developers and investors on all aspects of real estate, corporate and other general finance transactions.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Managing transactions for borrowers and lenders, working on a broad range of transactions including property acquisition finance, development finance, corporate restructuring and corporate acquisition finance (although corporate acquisition finance not essential)
-Drafting and negotiating facility and security documentation
-Identifying key legal issues in a broad range of transactions
-Liaising with clients and advising on key legal issues in clear, simple language
-Work closely with the Corporate and Real Estate teams as and when required
-Manage and prioritise own workload
Skills/Experience:
- Ideally 7+ PQE
- The successful individual will have extensive experience of broad banking and some property finance work. Corporate, leveraged, structured, or project finance experience will also be considered.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely
- Excellent writing and drafting skills
