This role is based at our UK Headquarters in Uxbridge,It's a pivotal role responsible for the operational support of the US and Canadian Distribution processes in order to achieve Sales targets for both Equipment and Supplies. These encompass efficient order entry, order fulfilment, inventory and supply/demand management processes, processes that need continual management, improvement and adaptation to meet the fast-moving challenges of the Indirect business. The business goal is to optimise stock at an level across the NA Distributor supply chain and minimise commercial stock rotation. The Operations has direct/indirect contractual relationships with 5 Distributors in the NA sales region with sales strategies based on a mixture of open and selective Distribution according to product family. The extended Global Distribution Operations team consists of 8 people in the centralised headquarters function and a further 13 people in the field (country-based).

Purpose:

  • Fully understand, support and on occasions manage the NA Inventory month end close processes across equipment and supplies for all Distributors - $'s and WOI, to include physical stock and all in-transits
  • Investigate theoretical versus actual inventory discrepancies and establish causals and countermeasures to improve future correlations
  • Understand and on occasions manage the NA Direct Ship processes:
    • Maintain billing and final ETA dates on an ongoing basis and ensure accurate and up to date reporting via the Daily Orderbook Summary
    • Maintain Direct Ship eligibility tables and DS reporting metrics
    • Participate in required breakthrough initiatives to optimise DS
    • Understand relationships with planning system
  • Participate and on occasions lead the monthly out-looking process for Equipment and Supplies Sales In. This includes the full maintenance and update of the Daily Orderbook Summary, a clear understanding of targets, existing orders, orders due, sales and backlog/backlog assumptions, shipping capacity, sales out out-look and $/WOI inventory projections.
  • Ensure Daily Orderbook Summary integrity and accuracy by ensuring all support tables and processes are functioning and correctly up to date.
  • Ensure accurate and timely update of data tables that drive our planning system. This will include Supply, Product Lifecycle, Direct Ship eligibility, Event activity, Inventory and Sales plus others.
  • Produce and ensure accuracy of Distributor Purchase advice that provide guidance on what our Distributors should order, both on Direct Ship in 3 months' time and direct from Xerox in current periods.
  • Support Business Transition Projects as appropriate

Candidate Background / Education:

  • At least 2-5 years' experience of working in a supply chain/distribution, customer service / administration or finance environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Applications including Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Outlook. An understanding of SQL server applications would be useful.
  • Working knowledge of databases and their functions is essential.
  • Experience of working in a Channel Business Model would be desirable.
  • Experience of working in a fast-moving, changing environment would also be desirable
  • Degree level or equivalent
