The primary role is to provide high quality legal advice to all Group companies as part of the Group Legal and Secretarial team. This role will involve the negotiation and drafting on important transactions including major project agreements and acquisitions.

Description

Legal:

- The Corporate Counsel will provide high quality legal advice across the Group

- Negotiating, drafting, reviewing and approving contracts for acquisitions and disposals

- Negotiation and drafting of significant Group contracts.

- Staying current on all relevant legal, statutory, anti-trust and other regulatory requirements and ensure that systems are in place and people are trained to ensure compliance.

Company Secretarial:

- Maintaining records of the Company's legal operating structure.

- Maintaining statutory registers and file relevant returns. Making arrangements for the Annual General Meeting and ensuring that the AGM is held in accordance with requirements of the Companies Act.

HR Support:

- Provide legal advice to HR on difficult employee issues and terminations

Profile

Although there are no direct reports to this role, this is a senior corporate counsel role with the Company and the successful candidate looking for a step up will work across the Business, often advising at a senior level. This means that the candidate must be confident in their ability and have excellent communication skills.
