ABOUT YOU
As a Managing Associate in the Banking group, you will continue to hone the technical skills which you will have been building up as a more junior lawyer.
However, the focus of your development becomes much more about managing deal teams, building client relationships and developing detailed and specialist knowledge of products and/or sectors.
As a deal-manager, you will put together your team depending on the needs of the deal and supervise day-to-day.
Your ability to gain the client's confidence becomes paramount, since you will usually be the person they deal with most frequently on a day-to-day basis.
As you develop closer relationships with clients, they'll also start to treat you as their first port of call for queries and new transactions.
You will also have the opportunity to play an active role in developing the group's relationship with, and strategy towards, its key clients.
ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this role you are likely to have 0.5 to 6pqe - although there is flexibility - top academics and relevant training and experience.
This may have been gained at a Magic Circle, Silver Circle/mid-tier or overseas equivalent firm.
