Healthcare Lawyer NQ+ To £65,000
This leading healthcare firm is looking for a versatile lawyer to work with medical malpractice insurers and defence organisations. In addition to clinical negligence work the department covers a wide range of other work which includes advising on regulatory matters, public law issues, judicial reviews, inquests, mental health issues and clinical risk management. The role will include:

• Public law issues - both the powers which NHS bodies have and challenges to the use of those powers by way of judicial review or internal appeal processes to include NHS governance and restructuring, as well as individual patient commissioning, funding and placement decisions.
• Information law - the application of the DPA, FOIA and information governance processes;
• Patient issues - considering issues in respect of consent to treatment, capacity queries, continuing care, funding of treatment and such like;
• Inquests - both advising and representing NHS bodies in the Coroner's Court; and
• General queries - providing advice to clients over numerous different health law issues.

The work includes dealing with some of the most important and politically sensitive cases for the NHS so you will need to be a confident lawyer, able to work with very senior NHS management.
