Leading US law firm is looking to recruit a new Office Manager to manage the administrative functions of the Munich Office, including Human Resources, Finance, Office Operations, Facilities and Staff Management. Responsibilities will include managing all matters relating to recruitment, inductions, appraisals, salary reviews and terminations, ensuring all relevant staff updates are communicated to Firmwide HR in the US, handling all non-lawyer employee relations issues, identifying training and development needs for secretarial and support staff, ensuring HR records are maintained accurately, arranging secretarial cover when necessary, managing the administration of all benefits, coordinating transfers between offices, overseeing all accounting functions of the offices, monitoring expenditure against budgets, overseeing office space needs for clients, liaising with building management as required, reviewing and renegotiating prices and terms with all suppliers, maintaining physical library collections and liaising with the Manager of Library Services regarding all library purchases, preparing and delivering appraisals and recommending salary and bonus awards, coordinating data collection for the annual renewal of practising certificates and assisting with any other ad-hoc projects when required. Candidates should have a minimum five years’ experience as an office manager, as well as previous facilities and space planning experience. Applicants should also be educated to degree level, and have the ability to build relationships with personnel across all levels of seniority. Standard working hours TBC, however a flexible attitude will be required as there may often be the possibility of overtime.
