A fantastic opportunity for a claims handler from the legal or insurance sector to join this well established specialist insurance litigation practice and progress your career. 

Our Corporate Client Services team handles claims for a variety of Insurer Clients dealing with claims from letter of claim / Portal stage through to settlement or litigation to trial.

A typical caseload comprises, EL, PL and Product claims including both personal injury and some property damage.  Our Insurer Clients insure a diverse range of small to medium enterprise businesses resulting in a variety of claims from a wide range of different industries and retail establishments.

You will work closely with both Insurer Clients and our contacts within the Insured organisations as part of the claims handling process, holding regular Client review meetings at which claims experiences are reviewed and any risk concerns are explored.

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Ability to handle under minimal supervision, a case load of EL/PL predominantly personal injury cases for a variety of Insureds; 
  • Able to undertake research into Legal Liability and Quantum issues, preparing reports to Insurer Clients;
  • Able to demonstrate an up to date knowledge re Legal Liability, relevant case law, MOJ Portal processes and the current JC Guidelines for Damages awards;
  • Able to liaise confidently with Insureds in relation to Legal Liability investigations and at claims settlement stage;
  • Able to review Quantum evidence and recommend settlement proposals to Clients;
  • Able to work with M.I. reports and prepare case reviews for claims review meetings.

    You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, be strong in IT, and be a proven team player with a positive, can do attitude and commercial, pragmatic approach.
