Employment lawyer, interim

Employment lawyer sought for a 3-6 month interim assignment with leading East Midlands based business.

Reporting to our Senior Employment, your role will be to provide specialist, high quality and commercially astute advice on employment law matters which are recognised as being critical to the success of the businesses HR strategies. This position will require close collaboration with your colleagues in the legal team, HR and the wider business on predominately contentious employment law matters including managing and conducting employment tribunal cases; advising and supporting the HR teams on employment law issues; development of strategic policy, procedure and training; and managing external legal support when required.

We are looking for a qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 3 year's employment law experience gained in a leading private practice law firm or another high profile organisation. Capable of managing a large workload and taking decisions which deliver the right commercial outcome, you will demonstrate an ability to understand and identify solutions to issues, combined with decisiveness and a clear understanding of risk management. Ideally you will also have tribunal advocacy experience.

An initial 3-6 month interim position will be offered although there is potentially a longer term opportunity available.
