Locum Commercial Property Solicitor

A local Authority in the East Midlands are currently recruiting a Commercial Property Lawyer, for a long term locum assignment that will run for 5 – 6 months minimum, with the likelihood of further extension beyond this initial period.

This position is offered on a full time basis although applications for part time work will also be considered.

This position welcomes applications from qualified Solicitors, Barristers and Legal Executives. Non qualified candidates who can demonstrate the relevant experience are also welcome to apply.

Duties will include:

• All aspects of Commercial Property work on behalf of the Local Authority
• Advising in respect of high level and complex conveyancing and other property related legal work
• Dealing with disposals involving working with partners in collaboration arrangements and complex overage and clawback agreements
• Drafting all appropriate legal documentation, liaising with clients, external lawyers and other professionals through to legal completion .
• Analysing and advising on complex property related legal issues
• Taking the lead on high profile property related transactions

In return for this work the candidate will earn a competitive hourly rate of £30 - £40 per hour depending on experience.
