My client, an insurance company based in London, is looking for an employment lawyer to join them for a 12 month contract.
This is a broad role where the successful candidate will be required to provide assistance and legal support to the Legal Counsel in relation to employment law issues both across the UK and the wider region in Europe and EMEA.
Key responsibilities will include:
Preparing, reviewing, negotiating and finalising legal documentation including employment contracts, severance agreements and confidentiality agreements
Conducting own research and providing advice in relation to legislation and regulation affecting Human Resources
Assisting with the management of employment related disputes external to the organisation, including the oversight and control of any litigation and tribunal proceedings.
Requirements for the role:
Experience of working at a senior and independent level in a law firm or as in-house lawyer (preferably within insurance or financial services).
Experienced in giving effective advice directly to senior managers.
Experienced in handling employment tribunal claims, and advising in detail on outsourcing and grievances.
