They have built strong working relationships with barrister’s chambers and have in-house senior advocates to represent clients at all stages of the process. With an increasing level of instructions, they are now looking to add to their team.
The Role
We are now tasked with sourcing talented and driven Criminal Defence Lawyers to join our clients’ well-regarded practice in Maidstone. Becoming part of a renowned, specialist team; the successful Lawyer will handle a demanding caseload of criminal matters from instruction to trial and appeals as necessary. Daily duties will include: attending and representing clients detained at police stations throughout the area; undertaking advocacy at pre-trial hearings; case preparation; instructing Counsel and experts as required and attending / advocating at trials. In addition, the ideal Lawyer will actively network and assist in the further growth and development of the department and firm as a whole.

The Candidate
You must be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with additional PSAR status and a solid background in Criminal law.
Applications are also sought from those with Duty and / or Higher Rights of Audience.
You must have excellent technical and organisational skills.
You will be a confident advocate.
You will be able to attend clients on a rota basis to include out of hours work.
You will be a team player with first class interpersonal skills across all levels.
