A leading multinational manufacturing company is seeking a Head of Data Protection to join their legal team on a 12-18 month contract. This role is based at their head office in West London.

You will serve as the key point of contact for all data protection and data privacy issues. You will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing organisational guidelines and strategies to protect personal information, including information about employees and customers. You will work closely with other departments within the business to initiate privacy risk assessment procedures, and to ensure all systems meet security needs. Part of this role will involve initiating and delivering privacy related training programs, to increase employee awareness on privacy policies and protection measures. You will also be expected to be the business representative for enquires and/or statements to governmental, regulatory and media staff regarding data privacy issues.

Due to the nature of this role a proven track record of Data Governance and Risk management experience is crucial.
