In-House Lawyer

In-House Lawyer –  Successful Energy Business – London

This leading energy business with a focus on renewable energy is looking to expand their legal team.

Reporting to the Head of Legal, the legal advisor will support the company by providing legal advice and support to the Sale and Marketing Group and other business functions as necessary. This role would be ideal for somebody who wanted to make their first move in House.

You will be responsible for:

• Reviewing and making amendments to company precedents and updates to Ts&Cs.
• Working with business functions (with support) reviewing and negotiating renewable electricity sales and purchase agreements, independent generation purchase agreements, confidentiality agreements and credit and financing arrangements.
• Provide commercially focused legal advice to business functions and senior managers
• Overseeing the contract delivery process

You will:

• Be eligible to work in the UK
• Have a degree in law or equivalent academic standard and 4+ years PQE in a law firm or In House environment*
• Be experienced in drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts
• Have significant experience of the UK/Euro energy market generation/projects/trading/retail
• Be able to forge strong relationships with people at all business levels
• Be able to work equally well in a team or without supervision
