Adults and Education Lawyer

Adults and Education Lawyer required for an initial 3 month period to join a local authority based in South London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Lawyer to join a popular London-based Local Authority. The workload will be split across the areas of adults and education, appealing to Lawyers who enjoy carrying a varied caseload.

The successful candidate will be managing a busy caseload and conducting advocacy within different areas of law, therefore our client is looking for a strong multi-tasker, who is able to hit the ground running. Cases may consist of the following matters;

Adults community care

• Court of Protection
• DoLs
• NRPF
• Judicial Reviews
• Age assessments
• Ordinary residence queries
• Adult mental health work

Education Law

• SENDIST
• Disability discrimination
• School exclusions & admission appeals

Due to the nature of work involved, it is essential that the successful candidate specialises in either Adults Community Care or Education Law.

The ideal lawyer will come from a public sector background, although candidates with relevant experience in private practice are welcome to apply, provided they have relevant transferrable skills.
