With a major hub in London, the Sole Counsel - Tech Start Up will be based here with access to the whole commercial business.

Description

This is a challenging and exciting role for a lawyer looking to drive this technology business forward.

The Sole Counsel - Tech Start Up is a commercial role where the lawyer will be the first point of contact to the sales teams, HR and Senior Management.

Typical responsibilities will include:

- Drafting, reviewing & negotiating Commercial Contracts - particularly software licenses, MSAs, NDAs

- Data protection advise

- IP licenses

- Managing the paralegal

Profile

The ideal Sole Counsel - Tech Start Up will have obtained a solid training within a law firm or in-house environment and be a UK qualified lawyer or a lawyer from a Common Law Jurisdiction.

- in-house experience would be a significant advantage as the pace of this business requires a candidate who can roll their sleeves up and get involved in all elements of the business.

- Commercial contract experience is key.

- Excellent communication skills.

- The ability to multi-task and prioritise fast moving projects.

- c3+ years PQE*
